Razer Presents Two New Controllers and a Headset for PlayStation 4
At Gamescom 2018, Razer has shown new peripherals for PlayStation 4 — two gamepads, the Razer Raiju Ultimate and Razer Raiju Tournament Edition, and the Razer Thresher headset
Longtime gaming peripheral-maker Razer has announced two new controllers for Playstation 4 as well as a wireless gaming headset. The Razer Raiju controller comes with a bulkier build, remappable buttons, and adjustable thumbstick sensitivity. Trigger stops, which allow for quick firing, are also included. In a break from typical Razer tradition, this controller will also be wireless via Bluetooth as well as USB. The upgraded version, dubbed the Razer Raiju Ultimate, will have interchangeable thumbsticks and D-pad as well as a lighting effect on the front touch pad.
The Razer Thresher headset can be toggled between a 2.4ghz wireless connection via a USB Dongle or a 3.5mm wired connection to a control pad. The battery life is said to be up to 16 hours. The ear cuffs are fitted with memory foam that can conform to the shape of the ear, suitable for long gaming sessions. 50mm Neodymium drivers produce high quality sound with a range of 12 Hz all the way up to 28,000 Hz. The headset is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch, PC, and all other devices that accept a 3.5mm connection.
The Razer Raiju will be priced at $149.99 and the Razer Raiju Ultimate will be priced at $199.99. The Razer Thresher headset will be priced at $129.99. They are expected to be available this upcoming fall.
