Ace Combat 7 Gets VR Trailer, Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed
Bandai Namco has revealed a PlayStation VR version of Ace Combat 7 as well as pre-order bonuses, which vary by platform
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown's virtual reality mode will be exclusive to PlayStation VR, and now Bandai Namco have released a new trailer showing off the upcoming mode. It's the most unique way to experience the dogfighting action of the series. Publisher Bandai Namco also revealed several new planes as they confirmed the F-22/A Raptor, F-35C Lightning II, Eurofighter Typhoon, F-16C Fighting Falcon, and F-14D Tomcat will be included in the upcoming flight combat game.
As far as pre-orders go, the big news is that PS4 owners that purchase physically and digitally will get a copy of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War while Xbox One owners get a digital copy of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation (sadly PC gamers are left without a bonus game). A McDonnell Douglas F-4E plane and three aircraft skins will also be available at launch for all systems. Those going the digital route on PS4 will also get an exclusive dynamic PS4 theme.

Bandai Namco also revealed that a season pass will be available for $24.99. It will feature three planes, three new stages, and an in-game music player. A deluxe edition of the game will cost $84.99, and include the season pass content in addition to exclusive emblems and a Lockheed F-104 Starfighter plane. So, if you want to see all the game has to offer you'll have to fork over some extra dough.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will take flight when it releases January 18, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
