Assassin's Creed Odyssey Outsold By FIFA 19 in UK During First Week
Forza Horizon 4 also has the series’ best debut in the United Kingdom
The United Kingdom sales charts are now available for last week ending October 6, and the results are quite interesting. Despite FIFA 19’s second week sales dropping 64% from its initial launch, it still managed to outsell Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in its first week since releasing. This has to be a disappointing start for Ubisoft’s holiday offering, as it sold more than 25% less than Assassin’s Creed Origins did last year.
Rounding out the top three was another new release in the form of Forza Horizon 4, which makes sense considering the game takes place in Britain. Microsoft’s open-world racing game saw its best launch ever in the United Kingdom, and was only barely outsold by Assassin’s Creed. ‘’We’re thrilled that Forza Horizon 4 has been so received by gamers across the UK,’’ revealed Xbox UK director Harvey Eagle.
In fourth place was Marvel’s Spider-Man, which dropped two spots due to the new releases, and coming in fifth place was Nintendo’s Super Mario Party. Other games in the top 10 include Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Tekken 7, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Project CARS 2, and Grand Theft Auto V (which continues its incredible longevity).
