Red Matter Takes Steam by Storm, and PS VR Might be Next
Vertical Robot’s VR game Red Matter, released on Steam this November, might be coming to PS VR
Virtual reality video gaming has been around for over two years now, but proper new gaming titles are still few and far in between. Indie studio Vertical Robot are remedying that situation with their new title Red Matter, a Cold War, Sci-Fi exploration puzzle game that just hit stores last week, to great reviews and even better fan reception.
The game is already available on PC, but we’re hoping for a PS4 announcement, as the game is an Unreal Engine title and should hopefully be an easy and worthwhile port. The game’s PEGI rating page lists it as a PS4 title, which might suggest that the developers have put in for a rating request and are planning to port over to PS4 in the near future.
Red Matter boasts between 8/10 and 9/10 reviews from critics, and a hefty price tag of $24.99. The game appears to be a properly polished and fully fleshed out VR experience, with all the mechanics we’ve come to expect of the genre. You traverse the futuristic world by pointing out where you’d like to go, and your character slowly moves into position. Beyond that, it’s an immersive puzzle game with a ton of visual content to feel tangible.
