Another exciting week in the gaming world is over. That means it is time to reflect upon what happened. Since we publish a lot of content on Ostrog each week, we are putting together a helpful weekly news round up to make sure you don’t miss the most interesting news stories, best features, and our beloved walkthroughs.

Here are the top news stories this week:

  • More details on the upcoming adaptation of Blake J. Harris’ Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation book have surfaced. Headed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the book will be adapted into a limited series, although no network is currently attached.

  • Konami has registered several new trademarks in Europe, and they both regard Hideo Kojima’s beloved Metal Gear Solid series.

  • In light of the recent controversies, Nintendo Russia General Manager Yasha Haddaji will not be attending Level Up Days.

  • A new mod for Fallout: New Vegas features two Bethesda big wigs, Todd Howard and Pete Hines, being crucified.

  • More cut content for Dark Souls 3 has been revealed, as sacrifice ceremonies and cult bonfires were originally going to be included.

  • BioWare fans will be glad to know that a closed alpha test for Anthem will be coming up next weekend. Check out the specs to see if your computer is ready.

  • It’s been a busy week for mobile games. Level-5 announced that Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box will be coming to iOS and Android. Meanwhile, the studio behind Plague Inc. announced a new title called Rebel Inc., which will be releasing this December for iOS. Finally, the Android version of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition now supports crossplay with PC players.
