The information was posted on ResetEra and quickly started rumors about what game it may be. The forum moderator Dusk Golem said that it won't be a Resident Evil game according to his sources. In addition, he stated that Resident Evil 3 Remake is in full development right now, as well as Resident Evil 8. We can’t say anything about RE3, but as regards RE8 it is obvious, thanks to RE7 huge success, that it will be released sooner or later.

The news is spreading across social media and there are various suggestions on the game title from users. The ResetEra user MBS, a topic starter, claimed it will be an Onimusha game which makes sense. We would like to remind that Onimusha: Warlords remaster is being released in January 2019 which is probably a part of Capcom reviving dormant franchise policy. Moreover, considering the fact that Onimusha discussions were happening at high levels that may be only the beginning of making the franchise great again.

It is also worth noting that back in 2017 rumors about Dino Crisis reboot were circulating, but it was disproved in an interview to DailyStar, so there are still no plans for the remake. Anyway, it cannot be excluded that other great IP’s may be in development as well, for instance, Dragon’s Dogma 2 which also has a remastered version, Rival Schools 3 or Power Stone 3.
