Witcher 3 Quest Making Radish Modding Tools out Now
Modders are now allowing us to make our own quests, custom lip syncs and more with this wide-ranging tool set
Radish Modding Tools over at Nexus Mods is a collection of tools that most every Witcher 3 modder has been waiting for. It allows you to make your own custom quests within the game engine, with a handy and easy to use interface that makes the process a breeze.
The developers were kind enough to grace us with a showcase trailer, which you can check out below:
You can see the Radish interface in the video, and how it allows you to ‘’draw’’ your quests out in the Witcher world expertly defining where Geralt needs to go and what he needs to do. There’s also an extremely handy visualization chart that lets you prong your quests out into branches, essentially writing out an entire storyline, much like how the game’s built-in quests work.
Most impressive of all, however, is the feature to produce lipsync timings for custom speech files, which essentially allow you to make your own voiceovers and insert them into the game properly, with appropriate facial animations.
Currently, the mod allows you to download a test-case to help familiarize modders with the Radish process, but the developers have noted they are hoping for a proper release soon that would essentially allow any experienced modders to create any quests they’d like, provided they don’t interrupt the code for the main storyline.
You can download the test case dubbed ‘’Escape the cage’’ over on Nexus Mods right away.
