Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Full Walkthrough: Battle of Amphipolis
Having undermined Kleon’s authority in Athens, Odyssey’s protagonist toes to Amphipolis to help Brasidas in the battle against the self-proclaimed dictator
There is no way back. Kleon must die, and this will happen in the upcoming battle of Amphipolis, to which the self-proclaimed ruler of Athens brought his army led by Deimos.
We Will Rise
Go to Amphipolis that is located on the territory of Macedonia. If you have not actively investigated the game map, the nearest port to the target will be on the territory of Boeotia. Having moored to the shore, find Brasidas – the injury in the battle of Pylos did not prevent this brave Spartan to come back so quickly.
Brasidas’ attitude towards Alexios/Kassandra in this conversation will depend on the decisions you have made in chapters Land of the Lawless and The Cult and the Archon. However, it will not affect anything. Follow the Spartan to the battlefield, killing Athenian soldiers along the way.
The fight itself is the ordinary territorial battle (see our tips in The Wolf Hunt walkthrough): kill enemy commanders and heroes until Deimos appears on the battlefield. This time, you will not have to fight against her/him. Instead, you’ll clash with Kleon who accidentally hit an arrow in the back of the cultist weapon.
Once you are close to the current ruler of Athens, enter the fight. Unlike other cultists (and other people in the game who try to protect their lives using weapons), Kleon will fight unarmed which makes your task very easy – the enemy will not be able to show any material resistance.
Kleon cannot count on your mercy, so you should only decide whether he dies quickly or slowly. Regardless of the choice that you make, you will get rewards for killing the cultist and completing the mission. It’s time to go back to where it all began.
