The description of all perks, how to unlock and upgrade them


There are 25 usual perks and 5 Eden’s Gift perks in Far Cry New Dawn, which are unlocked after you visit Joseph Seed in the North of Hope County following the storyline.

Grapple

  • Cost: 2 perk points.
  • Description: Hold E to attach a grapple to a grapple point. Fall damage is reduced.

Repair Torch

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Adds the Repair Torch to the Weapon Wheel. Repairs vehicles, cracks open safes, and burns enemies.

Skydiver

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Press Shift to use a wingsuit while falling. Fall damage is reduced

Fishing Rod

  • Cost: 2 perk points.
  • Description: Adds a fishing rod to your weapon wheel.

Outdoor Enthusiast

  • Cost: 7 perk points.
  • Requirement: Fishing Rod perk.
  • Description: Prey won’t flee as easily. Fish are easier to reel in once hooked.

Tactical Binoculars

  • Cost: 4 perk points.
  • Description: Press Z to equip binoculars to tag enemies more quickly, from greater distances, and in a wider radius.

Hotwire

  • Cost: 4 perk points.
  • Description: Automatically disables booby-traps on Highwaymen vehicles.

Mechanic

  • Cost: 6 perk points.
  • Description: Reduces weapon overheating on machine guns. When in a vehicle, it will slowly repair itself.

Lock Picking

  • Cost: 6 perk points.
  • Description: Hold E to pick locks on doors and safes.

Saboteur

  • Cost: 8 perk points.
  • Description: Hold E to explode vehicles after 10 seconds. Hold Ctrl to explode vehicles when they hit an obstacle at high speeds. Hold Ctrl to explode alarms and mounted weapons when used.

Covert

  • Cost: 8 perk points.
  • Description: Decreases noise level when moving. Increases movement speed when crouched.

Dexterity

  • Cost: 7 perk points.
  • Description: Accelerates consumable crafting, sabotage, disabling alarms, and opening safes and supply drops. Press the mouse wheel to throw back incoming dynamite.

Locked and Loaded

  • Cost: 5 perk points.
  • Description: reload weapons while aiming with semi-automatic handguns or sniper rifles. Press X to switch to the last equipped weapon more quickly.

More Lung Capacity

  • Cost: 2 perk points.
  • Description: Increases hold breath duration while sniping and while under water. Increases sprint duration.
  • Upgrade Cost: 3 perk points.

More Fist Damage

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Increases fist and kick damage.
  • Upgrade Cost: 4 perk points.

Advanced Takedowns

  • Cost: 7 perk points.
  • Description: Press F to Takedown Rank 2 enemies. During a Takedown, press the left mouse button to throw melee weapon at a nearby enemy

Expert Takedowns

  • Cost: 8 perk points.
  • Requirement: Advanced Takedowns perk and level 2 base.
  • Description: Press F to Takedown Rank 3 enemies. During a Takedown, hold the right mouse button and press the left mouse button to shoot with your sidearm.

Master Takedown

  • Cost: 10 perk points.
  • Requirement: Expert Takedowns and level 3 base.
  • Description: Press F to Takedown Elite enemies. During a Takedown, use A/D, W to perform another takedown on an adjacent enemy.

Well-Armed

  • Cost: 2 perk points.
  • Description: Carry a third weapon.

Heavily Armed

  • Cost: 4 perk points.
  • Description: Carry a fourth weapon.

More Medkits

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Increases carry amount for Medkits.
  • Upgrade Cost: 4 perk points.

More Melee Weapons

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Increases carry amount for Melee Weapons.
  • Upgrade Cost: 4 perk points.

More Throwables

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Increases carry amount for Explosives, Throwing Knives and Bait.
  • Upgrade Cost: 4 perk points.

More Light Ammo

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Increases ammo carry amount for the Handgun, Shotgun, SMG, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle, and Arrows
  • Upgrade Cost: 4 perk points.

More Heavy Ammo

  • Cost: 3 perk points.
  • Description: Increases ammo carry amount for the LMG, RPG, Grenade Launcher, Flamethrower, and Saw Launcher.
  • Upgrade Cost: 4 perk points.

Leap of Faith

  • Cost: 7 perk points.
  • Description: Press Space while in mid-air for additional jump height.

Ghost

  • Cost: 7 perk points.
  • Description: Hold C to temporarily become much harder to detect by humans. Consumes Eden’s Gift.

Wrath

  • Cost: 7 perk points.
  • Description: Hold Y to temporarily increase speed, melee damage, reduce damage taken, and be immune to knock-downs. Consumes Eden’s Gift.

Eden’s Touch

  • Cost: 8 perk points.
  • Description: Takedowns replenish Eden’s Gift and health, and loot victims automatically.

Eden’s Gift

  • Cost: 8 perk points.
  • Description: Increases the regeneration rate of Eden’s Gift.
  • Upgrade Cost: 8 perk points.
