Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: Fisk’s Hideout
In the sixth mission, players are introduced to another item from the list of side tasks in the open world
Soon after the completion of the previous mission, Yuri Watanabe will contact Spider-Man and ask him to check one of the construction sites in the nearby – apparently, Wilson Fisk has found a new way to conduct his criminal activities despite being in jail.
Watanabe’s allegations are true – a dozen armed thugs are walking around the construction site. Before Spider-Man starts to deal with the problem, he (or, more precisely, Peter), is contacted by his mentor who will share the design of a new device.
The above-mentioned gadget is Impact Web. Unlike ejectors, its ammunition is not restored with time but is replenished by neutralizing enemies so don’t waste it. You can switch between the gadgets in a special menu which appears when you clamp L1.
Each gadget has a set of potential upgrades that make it more efficient – an increased gadget shot capacity, shorter reload time etc. You unlock upgrades as you progress through the game. To craft them, you need side-task tokens.
The impact web throws opponents away, stunning them. If the enemy was foolish enough to stand back to the wall, the impulse will nail him to the wall until the end of the fight. In this light, try to choose the right direction for the shot so that you do not just push the enemy off but neutralize him.
As far as the construction site is concerned, it is de-facto a big fighting arena. Criminals appear in large packs – there are six such packs in one Fisk’s Hideout. You can silently get rid of the first wave of enemies if you want, using the surroundings and dealing with opponents one by one, but you’ll still have to fight after this.
You can deal with bandits as you like, but you can get additional tokens for the completion of additional task (for example, dealing 10 finishing blows or using a certain attack N times). In case you wish (or if you lack materials to improve your equipment), you can replay the mission an unlimited number of times.
During this mission, the player will learn about a unique ability of the advanced Spider-Man suit. Battle Focus (as well as other functions of any suit) is activated by simultaneously pressing both sticks, i.e. R3 and L3.
The use of Battle Focus will continuously fill the appropriate scale for a few seconds, so don’t shy away from finishing off your opponents and healing yourself as needed. The recharge time for this costume function is long, so activate this skill at every convenient opportunity.
Yuri Watanabe will thank Spider-man for cleaning the construction site of the thugs, while the game will unlock all other similar bases on the city map. The completion of this mission will bring you 2500 experience points.
