Marvel’s Spider-Man Full Walkthrough: A Shocking Comeback
In the tenth mission, Spider-Man will chase his old enemy, Herman Schultz
Without time to recover from his first encounter with the demons, Spider-man will have to return to his heroic business. Herman Schultz, better known under the pseudonym Shocker, has visited New York and has set up a robbery in the middle of the city.
You won’t be able to have a long conversation with Shocker – the criminal will almost immediately try to run away. Your task is to get close enough to get a chance for the web attack. This is not as easy as it seems: the hero moves very quickly and does not stop at all.
Here are a few simple tips for the chase:
- You need speed rather than altitude, so stop pressing R2 in the middle of the swing and not at the highest point.
- Pulling up (‘’X’’ button) on the web allows you to maintain the pace without gaining altitude. If you have purchased the ‘’Charge Jump’’, you’ll be able to pull up two times in a row.
- Quick zip (L2 and R2 + ‘’X’’ before landing) is another good way to increase speed. The ‘’Point Launch Boost’’ makes it even better.
When you finally get to Shocker, you’ll almost immediately find yourself chasing him again: the villain will push Spider-Man from his back and rush away. This time, he will also start shooting at his pursuer.
There’s only one way to deal with the new system of Shocker’s defense – dodge. When you see a luminous sphere around the villain (see screenshot above), and the spider’s flair above the head of the hero, press the dodge button quickly: Shocker will release an explosive wave toward Spider-Man. If you reacted in time, the wave will just fly by. In the other case, be prepared for a loss of speed and a significant chunk of the health scale.
The repeated pursuit will ultimately be a success. Having nailed Shocker to the ground with the web attack, Spider-Man will quickly immobilize the villain and hand him over to the police. For this, he will receive the gratitude from the local ‘’sheriff’’ Yuri Watanabe and 2500 experience points.
