It’s been a month since the release of Octopath Traveler, and the game has been much praised both by the press and gamers.
The game’s success is proven by its massive sales. It reached the top of the charts during the first week after its Japanese release, with 100000 copies sold in the country alone.
And this goes on. Today, Nintendo has announced in its European Twitter account that the game sales have reached a million copies around the world. These include Nintendo Switch eShop downloads and physical copies alike.
Thanks to your incredible support, #OCTOPATHTRAVELER has now shipped 1 million units globally, including #NintendoSwitch #eShop downloads. The developers at Square Enix would like to thank you for making this possible. pic.twitter.com/dSBRyPt8bl
